Heartstrings

It started out with a faint tugging on a heart-string,

a spark of curiosity that flamed out to something more intriguing

I’m being pulled by a mass greater than the moon,

but I opened my mouth perhaps a moment too soon

You numbed your heart to thinking this is the love you deserve,

till the sadness overtook and its all the flows within your nerves

You push and pull like the waves that teases the shore

Oh darling you deserve so much more

My heart breaks with every forced smile you pass

with your heart caged in tinted glass

I’m already consumed by emptiness-

why would I be afraid of your whirling darkness?

I’m impatient- constantly on the run and you are always late

maybe I will meet you on at the corner of faith and fate.
